Welcome,
I’m a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Director of EC. I have over 20 years’ experience in mental health, including my recent role as Chief Psychologist and Head of Support and Safeguarding at the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA).
At EC we specialise in trauma informed practice, working with organisations to improve how they engage with people affected by trauma and other harms. Through expert consultancy, bespoke training, and supervision, we help build systems that foster trust, reduce retraumatisation, support staff wellbeing and uphold the highest safeguarding standards.
I have always valued a collaborative multidisciplinary approach, so at EC we have a range of skills and professions across our associates, ensuring the best skills fit for each organisational client.
My other hats include:
Registrant Council Member and Non-Executive Director at the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) where I also sit on the Education and Training Committee
British Psychological Society member, serving on the Faculty of Leadership and Management Committee
Honorary Fellow at the University of Essex
Associate Non-Executive Director at Devon Partnership NHS Trust, a specialist mental health trust, where I serve as the Wellbeing Guardian on behalf of the Board.
