Psychological Therapies
Dr Eglinton is not currently taking on any new therapy clients but some of EC’s associates might be, so you are welcome to get in touch.
If you are looking for a therapist, we strongly recommend ensuring that they are registered with a reputable professional body or regulator. This is for your safety and protection to ensure that they have achieved an appropriate level of training and that they maintain their skills and expertise with regular professional development.
Anyone calling themselves a “psychologist”: please check the HCPC register here
Anyone who is called a therapist, counsellor, psychotherapist: check they are accredited with a reputable body such as: UKCP, BACP.
There are several different organisations out there and it can be confusing. I suggest checking if their accreditation body is registered with the Professional Standards Authority here. The PSA regulates all the UK regulators.
