FAQs

  • Does this course count towards my CPD hours? Yes absolutely. You will get a Certificate of Attendance to evidence your CPD time.

  • Which UK nations is this relevant to? When we talk about statute and systems, we focus on England. We reference practice in other nations of the UK but it is not the focus. There is however plenty of tranferable information and advice regardless of where you are based.

  • Is the session recorded? It isn’t at the moment but this is something we are exploring.

  • What platform is used and how do I log in? We will be moving over to Zoom. You will receive joining instructions a week before the event.

  • Who exactly counts as an "independent practitioner"? This is aimed at all psychological practitioners and therapists working clinically with their clients/servie users/families eg: Clinical/Counselling Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Counsellors, CBT Therapists, Clinical Associate Psychologists.

  • Is there any preparation required? You will receive an onboarding pack a week before the session. This is to orientate you to the day through pre-training reading materials. It is entirely optional preparation but it will help contextulise the conversation and the reference to our two case studies. The training is pacey and packed out with advice so this enables us to set the scene for you.

  • What do I get at the end? You will have a copy of the slide deck, an additional deck that is full of extra resources for your reference and a Certificate of Attendance.

  • Is this course levelled? We are not officially leveled but we have shown material to a local safeguarding board and to the BPS Safeguarding Advisory Group for verification. If you have a requirement for an offical “level” of training we would recommend doing that via a generic/standard course and then utilising our training to dig into the specifics of private practice.

What other people say about the training

“It was really fantastic to have all three perspectives on the training, drawing on different professional experiences and, clearly, deep knowledge. This made the training feel much more coherent and thoughtful. Having different professionals also made the training much more alive and less dry than some training!”

“Bekah’s depth of knowledge and expertise in this area is impressive”

“This was excellent”

"Really helpful training and brilliant to have such a range of resources and links to follow up"
